2 Months
My sweet boy is 2 months old today. He’s learned that his swing isn’t so bad. He loves smiling & “talking” to the turtle in his room. He has the cutest little baby bird chirp when we say “Hi baby!”

Sweetest Day
Happy Sweetest Day to the 2 sweetest guys I have ever met. Fun Fact: Sweetest Day was started in 1922 when a dozen candy companies in Cleveland, Ohio came together & distributed 20,000 boxes of candy to “newsboys, orphans, old folks & the poor”. It’s considered a Midwest holiday & a day to spread kindness, charity & romantic gestures.🍬 Sounds like a perfect day to me!

Perfect Punkin
Couldn’t have picked a better pumpkin myself. A couple months ago, I woke up with “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you…” stuck in my head. Got out of bed & grabbed my Bible to read it in the text…this Bible verse definitely hits differently while pregnant. God has blessed us with our little punkin. While we have a happy story, instagram has made me aware of so many stories of infertility, IVF & miscarriages. Just know that I’m here praying for God to send sweet babies to everyone waiting for their miracles.
Carter’s Pumpkin & Skeleton 3 Piece Set
One Month!
Our sweet, little squirtle is 1 month old today. He loves snuggles, bottles, pulling mommy’s hair & daddy’s beard and watching cocomelon at cousin Ellie’s house. (She’ll be 8 months tomorrow!) I can’t remember what life was like before him. We are so blessed.
As far as mama’s 1st month: I don’t recommend comparing recovery experiences but I sure as heck like to read them. Sharing for other c-section mamas to give yourself grace during the healing process. It’s so easy to overdo it & set yourself back:
•I slept in a recliner for the 1st 4 weeks; being back in bed is awesome but I still can’t sleep on my sides or get out of bed very comfortably.
•I’m back to driving but can feel every bump in the road.
•Certain chairs hurt & I’m cautious with getting up too fast & bending over.
• It took me a month to be brave enough to look at my incision & it’s 100% not scary with no scarring thanks to an awesome doc.
• Highly recommend an abdominal binder, heating pad & Celebrex.
✨Most importantly, I’d do it all over again & I think Corey is the real MVP for taking care of us. ❤️
Stoney Creek RV Resort
Are your trips well planned out or do you like to live spontaneously? Here’s how we ended up Stoney Creek RV Resort…I called Corey & asked if he had any plans for stopping for the night (he didn’t) & then told him to take the next exit for a campground. We lucked out getting a spot & turned it into a weekend stay to recuperate. We enjoyed searching for different flavors of Wisconsin cheese to try & Saturday morning bloody mary’s & mimosas at the RV lodge. Is traveling 1,200 miles cross country with a newborn doable? YES. Do we recommend it? 10/10 NO. We made it though & Walker’s ready to start meeting his family in Ohio & Tennessee!!
My hooded flannel is from American Eagle however I found the look for less on sale for $14.99 at Macy’s!
