Hunting Season is Actually Shopping Season

Ladies, this is your friendly neighborhood reminder that hunting season is actually shopping season. Anytime your man buys new camo, turns out you need those new fall booties! Man out in the woods? Perfect time to sneak away to the store. Oh! He's out early to catch that monster buck...Perfect! You can snatch up those UPS packages before he gets back. For every hunting expense there is an equally matched fun, fashion purchase. If you run out of clever ideas to justify your purchase, trust me I have your back!

"Remember there are babes in the woods" Tee purchased for $7.99 (from the girls' dept, whatevs!) from Tractor Supply. Also available online, pricier but more convenient.

Lucky Brand Smokey Bear Tee: $31.75

Smokey Bear Babes Tee $19.96

Purdy in Pink!

If you are reading this and you love fresh flowers then I hope you live near a Kroger. (This is not a sponsored post.) This is true life, real love! Kroger flowers are my favorite way to add bright and colorful cheerfulness to our home. This passion was sparked by my Grandma. I used to bring her fresh flowers every 2 weeks and Kroger flowers were the most cost-effective and long-lasting way to brighten her day. After she passed, I started treating myself to this simple joy. Now, I credit my husband to these frequent, beautiful "Just Because" bouquets.  Do you think my flowers look pretty? If you answered YES, then you are in the right place.

Not let me tell you these fun facts:

  1. These flowers were a week old at time of photographs.
  2. They traveled 197 miles in our 5th wheel travel trailer before being photographed.
  3. They were only $10 at Kroger!!
Can you see why I'm obsessed and gave them their very own photo shoot? The bouquet is currently over 2 weeks old and still going strong!

My fresh flowers tips:
Each week...
1. Change water.
2. Trim an inch off stems.
For a homemade flower food: Mix 1quart of water with 1 tablespoon Sugar & 1/2 teaspoon Bleach.

Top 5 Finds: Pipeliner Princess

This isn’t your average “I think my outfit is cute post”. Once upon a time I had this crazy idea to start pipelining...to step so far out of my comfort zone in order to become an independent woman & be able to buy as many shoes as I wanted! Turns out this “idea” was just a part of God’s plan to cross paths with my dream man. (Yep, I met my husband at work.) Now we travel the country from job to job, working together. We work 6-7 days/week, 10-18 hours/day...it’s that unpredictable! Thank God for online shopping & rainouts! While I love my job and can’t imagine a different career, my blog & instagram are my bright, happy fun places in my typically muddy day.

Pipeliner beauty tips:
1. Paint nails to hide the dirt.
2. Braid hair for flowy waves after work.
3. Sunscreen, water & a multivitamin are your 3 best friends!
4. Always find time to relax & re-charge.

Rural Queen

We all know about those shopping adventures that are a little out of your element. The kind of shopping that doesn't involve clothes, shoes, or bag...YIKES! Yes, that kind of shopping does exist! I, however, am so good at shopping that I can find something fun to buy anywhere. (hah!) My favorite new purchase is a 52x52, cozily wonderful blanket scarf from Rural King. I purchased on a shopping trip while accompanying my husband, the sole purpose was for truck batteries and hunting gear. Snooze! At time of purchase, the scarves were $9.98 and now they are marked down for pre-Black Friday sale at $7.98!!!

All joking aside, I actually love browsing Rural King! You truly never know what you might find! Please refer to me from now on as the Rural Queen whenever I am donning this happy & bright new scarf!

Amazon Fashion

Once upon a time, I went on Amazon for new sheets and dog food. I ended up with this cardigan instead. (I did go back on the app for dog food but still haven't purchased the sheets. Oops!) While I am a complete Amazon addict, for some strange reason I've never ventured into the land of Amazon fashion. This was my first foray as most of the prices make me skeptical of 100% acrylic, cheaply made pieces. I'd have to say I am pleasantly surprised at my daily deal purchase. I have worn, several times so far and the quality is surprisingly, cozily wonderful. I will be putting more pieces to the test and reporting back!

There are several different stripe color options. I purchased in Navy with the lightning deal for $22. The cardigan is currently available, at time of posting, for $29.99 with Prime shipping!

The Real Housewife of Pumpkin Spice

On a scale of 1 to Basic B*, where do you fall on the pumpkin spice spectrum? While I've only had one pumpkin spice latte, I burned through 3 pumpkin scented candles during the month of September. There is just something so cozy about the cinnamon & spice scent on a crisp fall day! Our camper is filled with tiny pumpkins and I'm already stocked up on pumpkin pie spice. I'm a firm believer in pumpkin decor through Thanksgiving and soak up every last bit of fall before my Christmas spirit explodes on Black Friday!
